Crafted from genuine race-used brake components from Lando Norris’ McLaren MCL36, this striking desk transforms Formula 1 engineering into a unique piece of functional design.

Used during the 2022 Australian Grand Prix weekend at Albert Park, the display features an authentic brake disc and brake pad assembly, components that endured the immense temperatures and forces generated during Grand Prix competition.

The 2022 Australian Grand Prix marked a positive weekend for Norris and McLaren, with the British driver delivering a strong recovery drive to finish fifth. The result represented one of McLaren’s most competitive performances of the early season and showcased Norris’ ability to maximise opportunities in a fiercely contested midfield battle.

The brake disc and pad assembly is mounted beneath a bespoke desktop crafted from premium sapele hardwood, featuring precision-machined recesses designed to securely locate the race-used components. A reinforced glass panel sits flush within a recessed sapele surround, creating a clean and contemporary finish that showcases the engineering beneath while maintaining full functionality as a desk.

Supporting the structure are matt black powder-coated steel legs, complementing the industrial aesthetic of the Formula 1 components. Completing the presentation is a UV-printed brushed aluminium plaque featuring the McLaren logo alongside race and driver provenance, reinforcing the desk's authentic connection to Lando Norris and the 2022 Australian Grand Prix.
